Sender's name: DANA

GOD IS ALL KNOWING, CORRECT?  IF HE IS THEN HE KNEW HIS ANGEL LUCIFER WOULD BETRAY HIM THEREFORE CAUSING THE CREATION OF HELL.  WHY DID HE CREATE HIM?  I BELIEVE IN HEAVEN AND GOD BUT IT'S HARD FOR ME TO BELIEVE IN HELL OR THE DEVIL.  WHAT DOES THAT MAKE ME?

The same Bible that teaches that God is all knowing (Psalm 139) also teaches that there is a Hell.

"I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that have no more that they can do.  But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him (Luke 12:4-5)!"

"If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life crippled, than, having your two hands, to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire, [where THEIR WORM DOES NOT DIE, AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED.  If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life lame, than, having your two feet, to be cast into hell, where THEIR WORM DOES NOT DIE, AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED.  If your eye causes you to stumble, throw it out; it is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, than, having two eyes, to be cast into hell, where THEIR WORM DOES NOT DIE, AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED (Mark 9:43-48)."

Second, the Bible never calls Satan Lucifer.  This comes from an incorrectly rendered name in Isaiah 14:12 in the King James Version.  As I understand it, the mistranslated word comes from Latin.  The Hebrew says, "heylel ben-shahar," which means "shining one, son of the dawn,"  Back up to Isaiah 14:1, and one can see this is clearly an oracle against Babylon due to her arrogance.

Why did God create Satan?  The Bible never deals with the why question.  This is simply a God question.  I would recommend a careful reading of Job, especially the speeches of God beginning in chapter 38.  We need to remember passages such as this one where God says this:

"For {as} the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts (Isa 55:9)."
