What is your affiliation? What do you stand for? What is your passion? Who are you? For those of us that have died and risen with Christ in the new birth, the answer to these questions has one answer. The answer is "Jesus Christ." Believers were called disciples, which meant "follower," and were later called "Christians," which originally meant, "of the party of Christ." Our affiliation is with him. The meaning of our life is in him.

Who is this Jesus that defines our values, attitudes, actions, and meaning? Many in the world have heard of him but many do not understand him. Even many professed believers have a long way to go in understanding him.

So, here is a good meditative exercise to go through. Below is a list of names, descriptions, and titles of Christ. This is my list and is by no means exhaustive. In your morning prayer, read the verse (along with its context) associated with the description, then meditate and reflect on the meaning and personal significance of the title or description of Christ.
