Sender's name: Mary

If your adult son has always been a christain and then falls into an adulterous affair would God want the Mother  to pray and ask him to take her son that is sinning?

---------

Why would someone want to pray this?  It would seem that a loving mother would pray that God would somehow lead her son and the adulterous woman to repentance.

The Bible says this:

"The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance" (2 Pet 3:9).

God is not willing for any one to perish.  He desires all people to come to repentance, including a man involved in adultery.  God's will is for them to return to God.  We should pray according to God's will (1 Jn 5:14), which is not that God would take a person, but that God would help lead him to repentance
